Felix Ritzinger will also start for the Wels professional cyclists in the 2024 racing season and has now extended his contract. The Viennese is one of the most versatile riders in the Welser team and was recently crowned 1st Austrian champion in gravel, this cycling sport on gravel roads is becoming increasingly popular. Ritzinger also competed for Austria in two competitions at the Cycling World Championships in Glasgow - both on the track and on the road: With 12th place in the Madison, he and his partner have every chance of qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games to qualify in Paris. The 26-year-old professional cyclist also made a big impression on the road this year and took runner-up title at the Austrian State Championships in the individual time trial against strong competition from the World Tour. “I’m already looking forward to the 2024 racing season,” says Felix Ritzinger. The Wels team will have a new main sponsor, Felt, starting next year.
