The Wels cycling professionals are top in terms of sport: In the current UCI rankings, the Felbermayr Express is the best Continental team in Europe. With 22 race victories in tours and one-day races, a total of 39 podium places and 3 national championship titles, the team has presented itself extremely strongly this year. The team was in action for well over 100 race days this year. The high quality of the riders was also shown in the nominations for the 2024 Road Cycling World Championships in Zurich. A total of 4 Wels cycling professionals were in action at the championships and were able to celebrate the vice world championship title in the mixed team competition thanks to Miguel Heidemann.

The Wels professional cycling team is currently doing everything it can to continue racing in 2025. A crowdfunding campaign has been launched to secure funding for the racing operation.https://gofund.me/a0da60fa can now be donated to the professional cycling team. "We hope that lots of cycling fans will come forward and support us," emphasises RSW Managing Director Daniel Repitz. At the same time, the search for a new main sponsor is continuing at full speed. Although there was a great outcry in the Austrian sports scene after the previous main sponsor withdrew, there is still no potential main sponsor in sight.
