Double victory for the Felt Felbermayr Express at the end of the Road Cycling League Austria 2024 - overall team ranking also goes to Wels:

The Felt Felbermayr team started today with 5 professional cyclists in the final

of the Road Cycling League Austria 2024, and the Austrian mountain champion

was also crowned in Judendorf-Straßengel. A total of 5 other Wels riders are

competing for 3 nations at the same time in the European Road Cycling

Championships in Limburg/Belgium. Due to the bad weather conditions with

rain and strong wind, the race in Styria was shortened to just 22 kilometers.

Shortly after the start of the race, Felt Felbermayr professional Michael Kukrle

launched an attack that no other rider could follow. Kukrle had a 55-second

lead before the 2.5-kilometer final climb. Mountain specialist Hermann

Pernsteiner was able to catch up second by second, catch his teammate just

before the finish and win the race. With a time of 39:22 minutes, the 34-year-old

won 5 seconds ahead of Kukrle, while his teammate Riccardo Zoidl took 4th

place. For Pernsteiner, this is his 2nd Austrian championship title within a few

weeks, following his victory at the mountain bike marathon championships.

Wels wins the overall team ranking of the Road Cycling League Austria 2024

With this great performance, the Felt Felbermayr team secured victory in the daily

ranking and also in the overall ranking of the Road Cycling League Austria 2024.

With the same number of points as the second-placed team from Steyr, today's

victory in the team ranking was the deciding factor. "We are extremely happy about

the success today and in the overall team ranking. Shortening the race was

absolutely understandable and sensible, the wind was really strong," emphasizes

racing director Rupert Hödlmoser.

Jakob Purtscheller wins the 2024 Firefighter World Championships in Denmark

Jakob Purtscheller achieved a great success a few days ago: The Felt Felbermayr

professional cyclist secured victory at the 2024 Cycling Fire Brigade World

Championships held in Denmark. With a time of 1:13:57 hours, the active member of

the Mistelbach Volunteer Fire Brigade left all opponents behind on the 48-kilometer

route.
