The Felt Felbermayr Wels team is currently racing in tropical heat of almost 40 degrees Celsius in the five-day Tour of Romania (UCI 2.2.). The Wels team is competing in Romania with Hermann Pernsteiner, Matthias Reutimann, Jakob Purtscheller, Patryk Stosz, Piotr Brozyna and Miguel Heidemann. On today's 2nd stage of the Turul Romaniei over 158.9 kilometers from Alba Iulia to Paltinis, a larger leading group formed, which was caught up again after a long period of leading work. On the 9.7-kilometer-long final climb with an average gradient of 6.1% to Paltinis, the two Wels cyclists Miguel Heidemann and Hermann Pernsteiner were in the first chasing group and took 6th and 7th place after 4:00:51 hours. The two Felt Felbermayr cyclists are also in 6th and 7th place in the overall ranking, putting them in the top 10. "We're now looking from stage to stage and will try everything again tomorrow to achieve a top result," emphasizes racing director Rupert Hödlmoser.
