Victory for Sebastian Schönberger at the Austrian Gravel Championships 2024

Today the Austrian Gravel Championships were held in Birkfeld. The organizers scouted a special route for this. The participants had to complete a total of 100 kilometers and 3,000 meters of elevation, mostly on gravel, but also on meadow and root sections. Gravel specialist Sebastian Schönberger from Team Felt Felbermayr was unbeatable in this race and secured victory and the championship title after 3:41:42 hours with a clear lead of over six minutes. The Upper Austrian completed the difficult course at an average speed of 27 km/h. Teammate Emanuel Zangerle secured the runner-up title, and Julian Pöchacker completed the strong Wels team result in sixth place. "An Austrian championship title is always something special and I'm really happy about it," said Schönberger at the finish.

Defect slows Felt Felbermayr down at the Tour of Romania 2024

The 4th stage of the Tour of Romania 2024 (UCI 2.2.) with start and finish in Targoviste over 189.2 kilometers brought the decision in the mass sprint, as was to be expected due to the route profile. Felt Felbermayr sprint rocket Patryk Stosz had a defect and was therefore unable to intervene in the race for the day's victory.
