The Felt Felbermayr Wels team started the difficult 19th Tour of Hellas (UCI 2.1) with an extremely strong performance. In the individual time trial in Thessaloniki over 6 kilometers, Felix Ritzinger took an excellent 4th place with a time of 06:55 minutes. The professional cyclist was faster with his time trial machine than the police allowed and achieved an average of 52.05 km/h. The track specialist was 12 seconds short of victory, but the Portuguese Iuri Letaho from the Continental Pro Team Caja Rural - Seguros RGA won the opener.
Successful start in Greece
The Wels team generally presented itself strongly in the individual time trial: Josef Dirnbauer took 9th place, 19 seconds behind the winner, and Riccardo Zoidl finished the individual time trial in 12th place (+22 seconds). The other Felt Felbermayr cyclists also placed in the front third of the field on their time trial machines: Jakob Purtscheller was 30th (+28 seconds), Hermann Pernsteiner and Pjotr Brozyna were 31 seconds behind.
