In light snowfall and extremely adverse external conditions, the Felt Felbermayr Wels team was now in action at the Skoda Cup in the Czech Republic. Michael Kukrle secured third place in the “Hell of the North Road” cycling race with start and finish in Krasna Lipa. Right from the start, the 136.3 kilometer long race was fully attacked and after just 500 meters there was the first major fall, which was followed by more, all of which the Wels team survived un-scathed. In this intense race, attack followed attack and in the last kilometers a total of four riders gained a decisive advantage. Everyone in the leading group tried to make a decision in the last few kilometers and ultimately the Czech Jakub Otruba from the ATT Investments team won solo after 3:33:54 hours. Michael Kukrle fought until the end and took third place, 14 seconds behind. With Julian Pöchacker in 11th place (6:12 minutes behind) and Tom Wirt-gen in 15th (11:09 minutes behind), two more professional cyclists from Wels made it into the rankings Top 15. “I’m really happy about my first podium finish this year and the strong per-formance of our team,” emphasizes Michael Kukrle.
